Own production up 6.6 per cent

Own production in Norwegian Customs and Excise amounted to NOK 1.3 billion in 2008. This is about NOK 80 million, or 6.6 per cent, higher than in 2007.

Own production is defined as the sum of compensation of employees and use of goods and services. In 2008, compensation of employees constituted two thirds of total own production. The statistics for contracted man-years, adjusted for long-term leaves, show that there were 1 643 man-years in Norwegian Customs and Excise in 2008. This represents a 2.5 per cent increase from 2007.
