The central government budget proposal for 2014 shows revenue of NOK 1 292 billion and expenditure of NOK 1 115 billion.

Compared to the approved budget for 2013, central government revenue has decreased by NOK 23 billion, or 1.7 per cent. Total expenditure in the 2014 budget is about NOK 50 billion, or 4.7 per cent, higher than in the approved budget for 2013.

The surplus before net transfers to the Government Pension Fund Global is NOK 177 billion in the budget proposal. This is NOK 73 billion lower than in the approved budget for 2013.

Statistics Norway has updated the table for central government revenue and expenditure by type. The table now contains the central government budget proposal for 2014, the approved budget for 2013, and accounting figures for previous years.
