Increase in government revenue

In the approved central government budget for 2013, the total revenue and expenditure amount to NOK 1 315 and NOK 1 065 billion respectively. There has been little change from the budget proposal presented in October last year.

Central government revenue has increased by NOK 77 billion, or 6.2 per cent, compared to the approved budget for 2012. Expenditure has increased by 5.9 per cent, or NOK 59 billion.

Surplus before net transfers to the Government Pension Fund Global is NOK 250 billion in the 2013 budget. This is an increase of NOK 18 billion compared to the approved budget for 2012.
