Tax revenues up 6.5 per cent

Distributed taxes amounted to NOK 58.8 billion in January and February 2005. This is an increase of NOK 3.6 billion, or 6.5 per cent, compared with the corresponding period in 2004.

Total tax paid to the central government amounted to NOK 20.2 billion, an increase of 5.8 per cent. Total tax paid to local government came to NOK 13.4 billion. This is an increase of 5.3 per cent compared with January and February 2004. Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme totalled NOK 24.9 billion, an increase of 6.3 per cent.
