NOK 4 billion more for general government

Statistics Norway presents revised figures for general government revenue and expenditure for 2005. Total income has been revised upward by NOK 4.1 billion since the previous estimate. Total expenditure is not changed.

The revision of total income is mainly due to an upward adjustment of taxes on production and current taxes on income and wealth. The new numbers are NOK 1.9 billion and NOK 2.1 billion higher respectively. The surplus in general government, measured by net lending, has been adjusted upward by approximately NOK 4.1 billion. The surplus in 2005 is now calculated to NOK 307.6 billion, NOK 112 billion higher than in 2004.

For central- and local government there are just minor changes in consumption of fixed capital.
