Tax payments so far on par with 2015

Total taxes paid to the end of May 2017 amount to NOK 411 billion. This equals an increase of 3.5 per cent from the corresponding period last year.

Total tax payments increased by NOK 14 billion compared to 2016, and are now approximately what they were in 2015. Payments made by personal taxpayers through the advance taxpaying arrangement are up by NOK 4 billion, while payments, excluding petroleum taxes, made by non-personal taxpayers have increased by NOK 14 billion.

Larger receipts in both central and local government

So far this year, payments to central government have increased by 8.6 per cent, and receipts in local government have increased by 3.7 per cent. Central and local government combined have received NOK 15 billion more than in 2016. Payments to the National Insurance Scheme total NOK 148 billion, which equals an increase of 2.2 per cent compared to last year.
