Increasing turnover for water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities

The turnover in water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities was NOK 3.7 billion in January and February 2011. This is an increase of 25.3 per cent compared with 2010.

The turnover in recovering of sorted materials was NOK 1.5 billion in January and February 2011. This is an increase of 45 per cent compared with 2010. The reason for the increase is prices of metal and the higher volumes for recycling.

Companies that are engaged in the collection of non-hazardous waste had a turnover of NOK 1.3 billion in January and February 2011; an increase of 19.5 per cent compared with 2010.
