NOK 23 billion turnover in 2011

The turnover in water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities was NOK 23 billion in 2011, which corresponds to an increase of 7.3 per cent compared with 2010. In November and December, the total turnover was NOK 3.9 billion, which shows an increase of 2.2 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2010.

Companies that are engaged in the recovery of sorted materials had a turnover of NOK 1.6 billion in November and December 2011; a decrease of 1.9 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2010. However, these companies had a total turnover of NOK 8.9 billion in 2011; an increase of 3.8 per cent compared with 2010.

The turnover in the collection of non-hazardous waste was also NOK 1.3 billion in November and December in 2011. This is an increase of 10.1 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2010. The total turnover in the year 2011 was NOK 8.4 billion; an increase of 16.5 per cent compared with 2010.
