Decreasing turnover for water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities

The turnover in sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities was NOK 21 billion in 2009; a decrease of 4.8 per cent compared with the same period in 2008. In November and December this year the turnover was NOK 3.5 billion; an increase of 6.7 per cent compared with the same period in 2008.

The greatest increase is within businesses dealing with the treatment and disposal of hazardous waste, which had a turnover of NOK 8.6 billion in 2009. This is an increase of 0.1 per cent compared with 2008.
