NOK 2.2 billion on sewage and sanitation

The turnover in sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities was NOK 2.2 billion in July and August 2008. This is an increase of 6 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.

Sewage and refuse disposal. NOK million

Within sanitation, remediation and similar activities, the turnover was NOK 44 million in the fourth period of 2008; an increase of 16 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.

The turnover in businesses dealing with the collection and treatment of other waste was NOK 1 926 million in July and August 2008. This industry group had an increase of 7 per cent.

Businesses dealing with the collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 223 million in the fourth period of 2008; a decrease of 1 per cent compared with the same period last year.
