Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 5th period 2006

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 226 million. This is a 16 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2005.

The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 50 million in September and October of 2006. This is a 14 per cent increase compared with the corresponding period in 2005.

In the fifth period of 2006 the turnover in the businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste represented over 9/10 of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This subclass had a turnover of almost NOK 2.0 billion in September and October of 2006, an increase of 4 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2005.
