Moderate growth in sewage and sanitation

The turnover in sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities amounted to more than NOK 1.5 billion in July and August of 2005. This is an increase of 3 per cent compared with the same period the previous year.

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a decrease in the turnover in July and August 2005 of 14 per cent compared with the same period in 2004. The turnover was NOK 120 million.

The turnover in businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste was NOK 1.4 billion in July and August of 2005. This represents an increase in the turnover of 5 per cent compared with the same period in 2004.

In July and August 2005 the businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 36 million. The turnover decreased by 3 per cent compared with the same period in 2004.
