Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 1st period 2005

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 90 million in January and February of 2005. This is an 11 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2004. The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 50 million in the same period. This is unchanged from the corresponding period in the previous year.

In January and February of 2005 the turnover in the businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste represented over 9/10 of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This subclass had a turnover of NOK 1 365 million in the first period of 2005, an increase of 9 per cent compared with the same period in 2004.
