Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 2nd period 2004

Within collection and treatment of sewage the businesses had a turnover of NOK 140 million in the 2nd period of 2004, an increase in the turnover by 46 per cent compared with the same period in 2003. The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 42 million in the 2nd period of 2004. This represents an increase of 11 per cent since the same period the previous year.

The businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste represented almost 9/10 of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal in the 2nd period of 2004. This subclass had a turnover of NOK 1 407 million in the 2nd period of 2004, an increase of 11 per cent compared with the same period in 2003.

Turnover for 2003 and the 1. period 2004 within the classes 90.010 and 90.020 has been revised compared to the latest publishing. The reason is that some units have been moved from 90.010 to 90.020, due to new information about these units. This has no effect on the total turnover for sewage and refusal disposal.
