The institutional sector accounts record economic transactions of the institutional sectors in national accounts. Non-financial and financial accounts by institutional sector is updated quarterly in StatBank.

Decreased savings for Norway in 2009

Revised figures for 2009 show that saving for Norway was NOK 483 billion, which is a downward adjustment of NOK 7 billion. The adjustment is due to a revision of GDP, which is NOK 8 billion lower than the last release.

The saving rate in the household sector is 0.1 percentage points lower than the last release, and constitutes 7.4 per cent of disposable income.

Public saving is NOK 270 billion, which is an upward adjustment of NOK 5 billion.
