According to preliminary figures turnover within motion picture and video activities was NOK 4.8 billion in 2007, an increase of 7.8 per cent from 2006. The growth from 2005 to 2006 was 10 per cent. The industry group comprised 2 100 enterprises in 2007.

The motion picture and video activities industry group consists of motion picture and video production, motion picture and video distribution and motion picture production. These industry classes employed 3 158 persons in 2007, an increase of 7.9 per cent from the previous year.

NOK 9 billion worth of radio and TV

Turnover within radio and television reached NOK 9 billion in 2007, an increase of 6.9 per cent from the previous year. This industry group consisted of 6 163 employees in 308 enterprises. News agencies employed 897 persons and had a turnover of NOK 887 million in 2007. The turnover was 9 per cent lower than the previous year. This is largely due to enterprises changing industry group. The news agencies industry group consists among other things of freelance journalists and press photographers.

The preliminary figures for number of enterprises, turnover and employment are published while data are still being revised and may therefore deviate somewhat from final figures published at a later date. While preliminary figures are published on the enterprise level only, final figures are published on both the enterprise level and the local kind-of-activity unit level.
