Increase in production of pork

A total of 130 300 tonnes of meat from domestic animals were approved for the market in the first six months of 2005.

Changes in meat butchered. 2004-2005. 1st half. Per cent

54 500 tonnes of pork, 44 200 tonnes of beef and veal and 28 000 tonnes of poultry were approved for the market in the first half of 2005.Compared with the first half of 2004, the production of meat from poultry increased, while the production of meat from sheep and pigs decreased.
