More timber cut despite falling prices
A total of 2.5 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the 4th quarter of 2015. This is an increase of 2 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter of 2014. In the same period, the average timber price decreased by 8 per cent.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 800 million in the 4th quarter of 2015; a decrease of NOK 46 million compared with the same quarter in 2014. On average, the forest owners obtained NOK 326 per cubic metre of timber; a decrease of NOK 28.
