Increased sales and prices
A total of 2.3 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the third quarter of 2014; an increase of 10 per cent from the corresponding quarter in 2013. In the same period, the average price per cubic metre of timber increased by 16 per cent.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 782 million in the third quarter of 2014; an increase of 27 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter in 2013. On average, the forest owners obtained NOK 339 per cubic metre of timber; an increase of NOK 46.
