Increased timber sales and falling prices
A total of 2.6 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the second quarter of 2013. This is an increase of 15 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter of 2012. In the same period, the average price per cubic metre of timber decreased by 9 per cent.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 775 million in the second quarter of 2013; an increase of 5 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter in 2012. In average the forest owners obtained NOK 303 per cubic metre of timber; a decrease of NOK 29.
