Stable timber harvest

A total of 2.2 million cubic metres of timber were cut for sale in the second quarter of 2012. This is the same as in the corresponding quarter of 2011. The average price per cubic metre timber was 9 per cent lower.

The aggregated gross value of roundwood sold to the manufacturing industry was NOK 736 million in the second quarter of 2012. This is a decrease of 9 per cent compared to the corresponding quarter in 2011. The forest owners obtained NOK 332 per cubic metre of timber; a decrease of NOK 33.
