Total man-years in substance abuse treatment increased by 8.6 per cent to 3 150 man-years in 2007. The bed capacity rose, while the decline in number of short-term based treatment places continued. The number of bed-days increased by 1.4 per cent.

Some discrepancies in the figures from 2006 to 2007 may be due to the fact that the statistics are under development. See About the statistics for more information about data quality.
