NOK 88.6 billion in specialist health care

Total expenditures within specialist health care were NOK 88.6 billion in 2007 including depreciation. This was an increase of 9.1 per cent compared to 2006. Total expenditures were on average NOK 18 700 per inhabitant. Expenditures for general hospitals amounted to NOK 63.8 billion, psychiatric health care for adults amounted to NOK 13.2 billion, psychiatric health care for children and adolescents amounted to NOK 2.6 billion and heath care and treatment of substance abuse amounted to NOK 2.5 billion.

Total expenditures include general hospitals, psychiatric health care, ambulances, specialized substance abuse treatment, administration and expenses related to personnel and recruitment.
