Increase in sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 798 million litres in September this year. This is a small increase of 0.3 per cent or 3 million litres compared with September 2013.

In August this year, total sales of diesel amounted to 338 million litres. This equals an increase of 6.6 per cent or 21 million litres compared to September 2013. The average price of a litre of diesel was NOK 13.06, which represents a decrease of NOK 0.40 from September 2013 and NOK 0.19 from August this year.

Sales of petrol ended at 103 million litres; a decrease of 6.4 per cent, or about 7 million litres from September 2013. A litre of petrol on average cost NOK 14.96. This corresponds to a decrease of NOK 0.09 from September last year and a decrease of NOK 0.16 from August to September.
