Decrease in sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 824 million litres in September. This is 5 million litres less than in September 2012 and equals a 0.8 per cent decrease.

Total sales of auto diesel ended at 317 million litres, which is 12 million litres more than in September last year. At the same time, sales of motor gasoline decreased by 4 million litres, ending at 110 million litres. Sales of motor gasoline and auto diesel combined made up almost 52 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

The average price for one litre of motor gasoline was NOK 15.05; a NOK 0.22 increase from September 2012. One litre of auto diesel cost NOK 13.46; NOK 0.32 more than September last year.

There were 21 delivery days in September this year, compared to 20 in 2012.
