Increased sales in October

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 869 million litres in October. This is an increase of 3.5 per cent compared to October last year.

Total sales of auto diesel ended at 331 million litres; an increase of 19 million litres or 6.1 per cent. Sales of auto diesel made up 38 per cent of total sales of petroleum products. In October this year, one litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 13.21; 0.19 NOK more than in October last year.

Sales of motor gasoline ended at 115 million litres; a decrease of 6.4 per cent or about 8 million litres. One litre of 95 octane unleaded gasoline cost on average NOK 14.85, and one litre of 98 octane unleaded gasoline cost NOK 15.52; an increase of NOK 0.90 and NOK 1.08 respectively.

The sales of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils amounted to 36 million litres. This is a small increase of almost half a million litres compared to October 2011. Sales of marine gas oil and diesel ended at 170 million litres; a 1.3 per cent increase. In October, sales of Jet Fuel ended at 95 million litres, which is an increase of 14.5 per cent.

Delivery days:

There were 23 delivery days in October this year, compared to 21 in October 2011.
