Decreased sales of engine fuel

Total sales of petroleum products amounted to 765 million litres in July; this equals a 5.1 per cent decrease compared to July 2010. Sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline decreased by 1.6 per cent.

In July sales of motor gasoline amounted to 142 million litres, 15 million litres less than in July last year. Sales of auto diesel ended at 271 million litres, an increase by 8.4 million. Combined the two products decreased by 7 million litres.

A litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 13.22 in July, this is NOK 1.52 more than in July 2010. For motor gasoline the price was on average NOK 14.21 and 14.74 for 95 and 98 octane, an NOK 1.49 and NOK 1.60 increase respectively.

The sales of marine gas oils had a half a million litres increase compared to July 2010 and ended at 161 million litres. The deliveries of jet fuel ended at 51 million litres, down 35 million litres.

There where 21 delivery days in July, in July 2010 there were 22.
