Increased sales and higher prices

In April, total sales of petroleum products ended at 718 million litres, which is a 3.5 per cent increase or 9.1 million more than April last year.

Sales of auto diesel ended at 252 million litres; an increase of 6.5 million litres or 2.6 per cent compared to April 2010. Sales of motor gasoline decreased by 4.9 per cent or 6.3 million litres and ended at 122 million litres. For both auto diesel and motor gasoline the prices have increased. Compared to April 2010, prices of motor gasoline grew by 9.7 per cent, and prices of auto diesel grew by 13.9 per cent.

Sales of jet fuel ended at 73 million litres in April this year, which is an increase of 29.3 per cent compared to April 2010. At the same time, sales of marine gas oil and diesel ended at 156 million litres; 20 million litres more than in April last year. There was a decrease of 22.4 per cent in sales of light heating oils and heating and lighting kerosene. Total sales ended at 24 million litres.

There were 18 delivery days in April, compared to 19 in April 2010.
