Increased sales of engine fuel

Total sales of petroleum products amounted to 801 million litres in July; equal to a 0.7 per cent increase compared to July 2011. Sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline increased by 2.1 per cent.

In July, sales of motor gasoline amounted to 134 million litres; 7 million litres less than in July last year. Sales of auto diesel ended at 287 million litres; an increase of 16 million litres. Combined, the two products increased by 8.5 million litres.

In July, a litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 12.76, which is NOK 0.46 less than in July 2011. For motor gasoline, the price was on average NOK 14.55 and 15 for 95 and 98 octane respectively; an increase of NOK 0.34 and NOK 0.26.

The sales of marine gas oils increased by 11 million litres compared to July 2011 and ended at 172 million litres.

There were 22 delivery days in July, compared to 21 in July 2011.
