Small increase in sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 849 million litres in October, which is a small increase of 2.1 per cent or 17 million litres compared to October last year.

Total sales of auto diesel ended at 295 million litres; an increase of 18 million litres or 6.7 per cent. In October this year one litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 11.85; 11.5 per cent more than one year ago. Sales of auto diesel made up 35 per cent of total sales of petroleum products.

Sales of motor gasoline ended at 138 million litres; a 2.3 per cent or about 3 million litres decrease. One litre of 98 octane unleaded gasoline cost on average NOK 12.98, and one litre of 95 octane unleaded gasoline cost NOK 12.57; an increase of 0.7 and 1 per cent respectively. Sales of motor gasoline made up 16 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

In August, sales of Jet Fuel ended at 91 million litres, which is an increase of 25 per cent. Sales of marine gas oil and diesel ended at 164 million litres; a 1.4 per cent increase.

Delivery days

There were 21 delivery days in October this year, the same as in October 2009.
