Increased sales in diesel

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 883 million litres in August this year, which is an increase of 6.5 per cent compared to August 2009. Auto diesel sales increased by 10 per cent in this period.

Total sales of auto diesel ended at 288 million litres; an increase of 26 million litres compared to August last year. In August this year one litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 11.59; 5 per cent more than one year ago. Sales of auto diesel made up one third of total sales of petroleum products.

Sales of motor gasoline ended at 152 million litres; a 2.7 per cent or about 4 million litres decrease. One litre of 98 octane unleaded gasoline cost on average NOK 12.96, and one litre of 95 octane unleaded gasoline cost NOK 12.47; an increase of 0.7 and 0.6 per cent respectively. Sales of motor gasoline made up 17 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

Increased sales of other products

In August, sales of Jet Fuel ended at 93 million litres, which is an increase of 18.6 per cent. Sales of marine gas oil and diesel ended at 164 million litres; a 7.4 per cent increase. Total sales of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils increased by 2.6 per cent.

Delivery days

There were 22 delivery days in August this year, and in 2009 there were 21.
