Decrease in sales

Total sales of petroleum products so far this year came to 2.9 billion litres. This is a decrease of 2.8 per cent or 84 million litres compared to the first four months in 2008.

In the fist four months this year total sales of motor gasoline ended at 531 million litres. This equals a reduction of 7.6 per cent or 43 million litres. Sales of auto diesel also had a small decrease in this period of 0.6 per cent or five million litres. The two products together make up 50.9 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

Total sales of petroleum products in April this year ended at 710 million litres; a decrease of 9 per cent or 70 million litres compared to April 2008. The reason is that last year Easter was in March while this year it was in April and there where four less delivery days compared to the same period last year.

There were 18 delivery days in April, compared with 22 in April 2008.
