Small increase1 in sales of petroleum products

Total deliveries of petroleum products in Norway came to 9.7 billion litres in 2007, a small increase1 of 0.9 per cent or 85 million litres compared with 2006.

Compared with 2006, sales of auto diesel increased by 11.5 per cent in 2007, while sales of motor gasoline decreased by 5.2 per cent. This means that the trend in recent years continues. Total sales of motor gasoline amounted to about 2 billion litres in 2007, while total sales of auto diesel came to about 3 billion litres.

Light heating oils decreased by 14.8 per cent, while heating and lighting kerosene decreased by 21 per cent. Total sales of jet fuel came to 894 million litres, only one million litres more than in 2006.

December

Total sales in December 2007 came to 776 million litres, an increase of 6.5 per cent compared with December 2006. Total sales of motor gasoline ended at 149 million liters, a decrease of 5.5 per cent compared to December 2006. Sales of auto diesel increased by 18.9 per cent, from 211 million litres in December 2006 to 251 million litres in December 2007.
