Increased sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products came to a total of 870 million litres in October 2006, an increase by 8.6 per cent, or 68 million litres, compared with the same period last year.

Total sales of motor gasoline ended at 171 million liters in October 2006, a decrease by 1.4 per cent compared with October 2005, while the sales of auto diesel rose by 17.4 per cent in the same period. Sales of motor gasoline and auto diesel make out 48.3 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

Sales of light heating oils increased by 26.5 per cent in October this year compared to the corresponding month last year, while sales of heating and lighting kerosene were equal. In October total sales of jet fuel ended at 78 million litres, an increase by 14.8 per cent, or 10 million litres, compared to the same period last year.

There were 22 delivery days in October, the same as in the corresponding month in 2006.
