Increase in sale of petroleum products

Sale of petroleum products amounted to a total of 803 million litres in July 2006, an increase by 6.6 per cent or 50 million litres compared to the same period last year.

In July total sales of Jet Fuel ended at 88 million litres, an increase by 31.6 per cent compared to the same period last year.

All through 2006 the sales of motor gasoline has decreased while the sales of auto diesel has increased. This continues though July. There was a decrease in the sales of motor gasoline by 3.2 per cent or 6 million litres July. Sales of auto diesel increased by 15 million litres. Sale of motor gasoline and auto diesel makes out 50.2 per cent of the total sale of petroleum products.

Sales of Heating and lighting kerosene decreased by 10.2 per cent in July 2006 compared to July 2005, in the same period sales of Light heating oils increased by 2.9 per cent. The total sale of heating oils came to 25 million liters in July 2006.

There were 21 delivery days in July, the same as in July 2005.
