Increase in sales

Total sales of petroleum products came to a total of 792 million litres in May 2006, an increase by 2.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The largest increase was seen in sales of jetfuel with 21 per cent. In May 2005 the sale amounted to 59 million litres, while in May 2006 the sales amounted to 72 million litres.

All through 2006 the sales of motor gasoline has decreased while the sales of auto diesel has increased. This continues though May. There was a decrease in the sales of motor gasoline by 3.6 per cent or 7 million litres May. Sales of auto diesel increased by 24 million litres. Sale of motor gasoline and auto diesel makes out 51 per cent of the total sale of petroleum products.

Heavy heating oils and light heating oils increased by 4.2 per cent and 5 per cent respectively. The total sale of heating oils came to 89 million liters in May 2006, an increase of 13 million liters compared to May 2006.

There were 20 delivery days in May, in May 2005 there where 19.
