Increased sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products in January 2006 came to a total of 761 million litres, an increase by 6.8 per cent compared with January last year, when the total sales came to 705 million litres. The largest increase was seen in sales of auto diesel.

Compared with January 2005, the total sale of auto diesel increased by 28 million litres. Sales of auto diesel make out 26 per cent of total sales of petroleum products. There was a small increase in the sales of motor gasoline for the fist time since 2000 by 0.5 per cent.

In January the deliveries of lighting kerosene and light heating oil increased by 7.3 and 16 per cent respectively. In January 2005 sales of the two products made out a total of 68 million litres, in 2006 the sales amounted to 78 million litres, a 14.7 per cent increase.

There were 22 delivery days in January, in January 2004 there where 21.
