Decreased sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products decreased by 0.8 per cent in November 2005 compared with November last year. The largest decrease was recorded in sales of heating fuel and in sales of motor gasoline. Sales of auto diesel continue to increase.

Total sales of petroleum products in Norway ended at 784 million litres, down 7 million from November last year. Sales of jet fuel increased significantly, up 34.6 per cent compared to November 2004. In the same period, deliveries of auto diesel increased by 11 million litres or 5.2 per cent, while sales of motor gasoline fell by 4.2 per cent or 8 million litres.

Total sale of heating products decreased in November compared with November last year, from 80 to 55 million litres. This corresponds to a reduction of 30.2per cent.

There were 22 delivery days in November this year, the same as in November 2004.
