Reduced sale of heating products

The total sale of petroleum products decreased by 3.4 per cent in July, compared with July 2004. A reduction of 16.2 in the sales of heating products contributed mostly to the decrease. Total sale of petroleum products in Norway ended on 753 million litres, down 27 million litres from July last year.

The decrease in the sales of heating products continues. The sale of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils was reduced by 25.5 and 42.7 per cent, respectively, compared with last year. This corresponds to a total decrease of 16 million litres. The sale of heating and lighting kerosene ended on 6 million litres, while light heating oils ended on 19 million litres, in July.

Fuels

Auto diesel increased its sale by 6.4 per cent to 191 million litres in July, while the sale of motor gasoline decreased by 2.9 per cent to 203 million litres.
