Continued increased in sale of auto diesel

Total deliveries of petroleum products increased by 8.9 per cent in May, compared with last year. A 15.4 per cent increase in the sale of auto diesel is the main contributor to the total growth. Total deliveries of petroleum products came to 776 million litres, up 63 million litres from May 2004.

The sale of auto diesel increased by 27 million litres, to a total sale of 199 million litres, while the sale of motor gasoline stays put on 186 million litres. The sales of marine gas oil and diesel and heavy fuel oil increased by 15 and 10 million litres respectively.

Other products

Also in may the total sales of heating products declined. Until now in 2005, the sales of heating products have been lower than the sales in 2004 for every month. The total sale of heating products was 45 million litres in May, 11.4 per cent reduction from last year. The total sale of lubricant oils increased by 25.4 per cent, to a total of 7 million litres.

There were 19 delivery days in May this year, against 18 in May 2004.
