Increase in auto diesel deliveries

The sale of auto diesel increased by 10.7 per cent in September 2004 compared with September last year. The deliveries of motor gasoline decreased by 4.0 per cent.

The total deliveries of petroleum products came to 822 million litres in September, 2.8 per cent more than in September last year. The deliveries of light heating oil and heating and lighting kerosene went down by 11.9 and 16.7 per cent respectively. The sale of jet fuel increased by 24.3 per cent in September compared with the same month last year.

Past 12 months

The total deliveries of petroleum products came to 9 373 million litres, a 1.4 per cent decrease compared with the previous 12-month period. The heating products and the marine gas oil contributed the most to the decrease. The deliveries of motor gasoline went down by 1.0 per cent while the sale of auto diesel increased by 5.1 per cent.

There were 22 delivery days in September 2004 the same as in September 2003.
