Increase in deliveries of petroleum products

The total deliveries of petroleum products came to 838 million litres in August - 7.6 per cent more than in August last year. The deliveries of auto diesel, motor gasoline and Jet fuel contributed the most to the increase.

The deliveries of auto diesel came to 208 million litres in August, a 17.4 per cent increase compared with August 2003. The sale of motor gasoline increased by 3.3 and jet fuel 38.6 per cent in August.

The past 12 months

The total deliveries of petroleum products for the past 12 months were 9 372 million litres, 0.8 per cent less than in the previous 12-month period. The deliveries of motor gasoline decreased by 0.4 per cent and auto diesel increased by 5.0 per cent. Among the other products, in this period, we observe a decrease in the deliveries of both light heating oil, lighting and heating kerosene and marine gas.

There were 22 delivery days in August 2004 against 21 in August 2003.
