Sales of petroleum products and liquid biofuels, April 2004, preliminary figures

For the past 12 month period deliveries of auto diesel rose by 3.3 per cent compared with the previous 12 month period.

Decrease in motor gasoline sales

The total deliveries of motor gasoline came to 2 233 million litres in the past 12 month, a decrease of 0.7 per cent compared with the previous 12 month period.

Reduced sales of heating products

The deliveries of light heating oil went down by 9.6 per cent for the past 12- month period. In August the deliveries of light heating oil decreased by 27.9 per cent.

Total deliveries

The total deliveries of petroleum products came to 708 million litres in April, a 1.9 per cent decrease compared with the same month last year. During the past 12 month, the deliveries have declined by 1.1 per cent and were 9 315 million litres.

There were 19 delivery days in April 2004 as in April 2003.
