Increase in deliveries of diesel and gasoline

The deliveries of auto diesel and motor gasoline increased strongly in March compared with March last year. Auto diesel increased by 14.9 per cent to 187 litres and motor gasoline by 6.6 to 183 million litres.

The total deliveries of petroleum products came to 792 million litres in March, a 3.1 per cent increase compared with the same month last year. The deliveries of light heating oil and heating and lighting kerosene decreased by 13.2 and 14.0 per cent respectively.

First 3 months

For the first 3 months, deliveries decreased by 2.3 per cent compared with the same period last year. The heating products contributed the most to the decrease in sale in the period.

Past 12 months

For the past 12 months the total deliveries came to 9 329 million litres, a 0.5 per cent decrease compared with the previous 12-month period. The deliveries of auto diesel increased by 2.5 per cent while the deliveries of motor gasoline decreased by 0.4 per cent.

There were 23 delivery days in March 2004 against 21 in March 2003.
