Sale of light heating oils increased

The deliveries of light heating oils came to 93 million litres in October, a 40.3 per cent increase compared with October 2002. This is the highest reported sale in the month of October since 1973.

The increased deliveries might to some extent be explained by the price development in the electricity market. The deliveries of light heating oils for the past 12 months increased by 64.7 per cent compared with the previous 12-month period.

Auto diesel

The deliveries of auto diesel went up by 6.9 per cent compared with June last year. Deliveries of tax-free diesel increased the most. During the last 12 months the increase in deliveries of auto diesel was 5.0 per cent.

Total deliveries

The total deliveries of petroleum products totalled 877 million litres in October, a 2.5 increase compared with October last year. The deliveries for the past 12 months increased by 4.9 per cent compared with the previous 12-month period.
