Increased deliveries of auto diesel

Whereas total deliveries of petroleum products decreased in February 2001, deliveries of auto diesel and motor gasoline increased by 4.8 and 0.3 per cent respectively.

The total deliveries of petroleum products declined by 3.0 per cent in February, and totalled 730 million litres. Total deliveries except motor gasoline and auto diesel showed a 6.9 per cent decrease. For the past 12 months, the total deliveries of petroleum products decreased by 7.0 per cent. Both auto diesel and motor gasoline showed reduction in deliveries in the same period, 0.5 and 1.6 per cent respectively.

The deliveries of light heating oil and heating and lighting kerosene decreased by 18.3 per cent during the past 12 months. Heating and lighting kerosene decreased in February as well, by 8.0 per cent, while deliveries of light heating oil rose by 13.0 per cent.

There were 20 delivery days in February 2001 against 21 in February 2000.
