High first-time estimates for 2010

Total investments in oil and gas activity in 2010, including pipeline transportation, are NOK 136.1 billion in the first-time estimate. The estimate for 2009 has been adjusted upwards at NOK 145.2 billion.

The estimate for 2010 is NOK 19.2 billion higher than the corresponding estimate for 2009 given in the 2n d quarter of 2008. The sharp increase is mainly due to the fact that the operators’ first- time reports for 2010 are significantly more complete than earlier first-time reports.

The investments for exploration activity in 2010 are now estimated at NOK 33.1 billion. The estimate is NOK 17.7 billion higher than the estimation for 2009 given in the 2n d quarter of 2008.

Investments for field development and fields on stream are now estimated at NOK 95.4 billion. This is NOK 1.3 billion higher than the corresponding estimate given for 2009.

Onshore activities and pipeline transportation are estimated at NOK 6.4 and 1.2 billion respectively.

Higher estimates for 2009

Total investments in oil and gas activities for 2009, including pipeline transportation, are estimated at NOK 145.2 billion. The estimate is NOK 12.6 billion higher than the corresponding estimate for 2008 and NOK 7.8 billion higher than the estimate given in the previous quarter.

Investments in the exploration activity in 2009 are estimated at NOK 28.3 billion, which is NOK 1 billion lower than the estimate given in the previous quarter. The estimate is NOK 0.1 billion higher than the corresponding estimate for 2008 presented in the 2n d quarter of 2008.

Investments for field development and fields on stream are now estimated at NOK 108.9 billion; an increase of NOK 8.6 billion compared with the estimate in the previous quarter and NOK 11.8 billion higher than the corresponding estimate for 2008.

Onshore activities and pipeline transportation are estimated at NOK 7.3 and NOK 0.7 billion respectively.
