Stocks in manufacturing increased

Total stocks continued to grow throughout the fourth quarter of 2002. Unfinished goods went up for the fifth quarter in a row, and a main contributor to this development is the industry of oil platforms and modules. Finished goods also show a moderate growth.

Stock volume. Changes in one year

Recorded figures for the fourth quarter of 2002 show a moderate growth in total stocks. Unfinished goods have not been higher since the third quarter of 2000, and are now approximately 21 per cent higher measured in current prices than in the corresponding quarter previous year. In fixed prices this amounts to 19 per cent.
