Municipal fees up 1.8 per cent

Annual municipal residential fees rose by 1.8 per cent on average from January 2015 to January 2016. The average household pays almost NOK 11 000 for the municipal services of water, waste water, waste services and chimney sweeping/inspection.

Among the municipal charges, chimney sweeping and inspection increased the most. This fee rose 4.5 per cent from 2015 to 2016. Waste water fees and fees for waste services increased by 2.5 per cent and 1.3 per cent respectively. The annual fees for water went up by 0.9 per cent last year.
