Municipal fees up 2.9 per cent

Annual municipal residential fees rose by 2.9 per cent on average from January 2012 to January 2013. The average household pays close to NOK 10 200 for the municipal services of water, waste water, waste services and chimney sweeping/inspection.

Among the municipal charges, chimney sweeping fees increased the most. This fee rose 11.8 per cent from 2012 to 2013. Fees for water and waste water also increased. The water fee increased 3.2 per cent and charges for waste water went up by 3.9 per cent. Waste services decreased by 0.5 per cent.
